MISSION STATEMENTTo bring souls to Jesus Christ for their deliverance, healing, restoration, worship and ministry. OUR VISIONOur vision involves breaking down cultural, racial and denominational barriers as well as the walls of gender that keep us divided. We are bridging families, communities, cities and nations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which is the "Gateway" to the east and west of North America. Making this city a "key" city in the move of God. Our vision includes an arm of community services, the GILEAD Center, providing employment and assistance for single families who are in need of the knowledge and assistance in basic life skills, professional counseling and job readiness training, such as computer literacy and education. Our vision will meet the needs of men, women and youth, through holistic salvation. We will serve our communities needs culturally, economically, educationally, emotionally, medically, socially and spiritually. It is most important that Jubilee meets the diverse needs of our community inside one building. We are constantly researching and bringing together men and women from all walks of life to make this part of the vision complete. |
WHAT WE BELIEVE
ABOUT GOD
God is the creator and ruler of the Universe who has eternally existed in eternity and has made himself known to man as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration. (Gen 1:1,27) (Ps 60:2) (2Cor. 13:14)
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all the people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's Glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (Matt. 1:22-23) (Is.9:6) (John 1:1-5) (John 14:10-30).
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
God is holy (I Peter 1:16). In fact, God alone is Holy in Himself. Furthermore, God is a Spirit, (John 4:24) and there is only one Spirit of God. (Eph 4:4) The Holy Spirit is God. (Acts 5:3-4) (I Cor 3:16-17, 6:19-20) One of the titles of the Holy Spirit is "Spirit of God". (Rom.8:9) The Bible uses the expression Holy Spirit frequently in reference to the part of God's activity among and in mankind that only a spirit can perform.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God's word to us. It was written by human writers under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. (II Tim. 3:16) (II Peter 1:20-21) (Ps.119: 105,160).
ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by the attitude of sin that separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from a self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith and obedience to His gospel we are saved. (Acts 2:38) (Rom 6:23) (Eph. 2:8-9) (John 14:6).
THE NAME JUBILEE
The name Jubilee was laid upon Pastors Neville and Connie Brooks hearts because of the season in which the body of Christ now flows.
The ministry focuses on complete deliverance (spirit, soul and body) from the bondage of sin; and as a result, the restoration of ministries and the reconciliation of families back to God is made possible.
Jubilee represents the celebration of debt cancellation, the complete deliverance from slavery, and the restoration of land and property to its original owners. We are now in the 50th generation since the birth of Christ; and we believe that we are now in a season of Jubilee. A season in which God will sovereignly restore broken lives and reconcile His people back to Him.
